Dress code

Ok- according to an article I came across, a dress code like "Garden Chic" leaves guests feeling confused and is used by couples trying to be clever. We are clever- so that would never be my motivation in guiding you towards what you should be wearing to our wedding...It's actually quite simple:

1) Garden: this alludes to the fact that the wedding will be taking place in a garden.

  1. If you have a severe phobia of late afternoon sunlight, you should take a note here: bring your sunglasses or add an extra layer of sunscreen.
  2. If your preferred choice of footwear is a sexy stilhetto, you may want to consider laying that one down for a day and opt for some wedges instead. (Unless of course you want to assist the gardeners by digging up the lawn a bit with your heels...)
  3. You might want to bring along a thin jersey or a pashmina to keep you warm as the evening sets in and it cools down (If you're going to dance up a sweat you obviously dont need this tip...)
2) Chic- according to the Oxford dictionary:
  • adjective (chicer, chicest) elegantly and stylishly fashionable.
  • noun stylishness and elegance.
Use it, don't use...I just see a whole lot of elegance and sophistication....and please- stay true to yourself because that's who we invited! :)
