Gifts

Due to the glitches and mess-ups we've come across concerning gift registries, we'd rather not have one.
We would, however, really appreciate vouchers from Menyln Mall (they have everything we could possibly need under one roof...), Woolworths, or Mr Price Home. This way we can get what we need, as time goes by. I haven't cooked up a storm yet so I'll probably only realise what's missing from the kitchen eg. once I'm faced with the item not being there just as I need it...

If you would rather give us something you think would fit into our life just perfectly, please feel free to do so...a few suprises along the way are the best!

Other then that we have an loooong wishlist of rather pricy items we're dreaming of- donations towards those are also very welcome :)

Please know that your presence is already a present to us ( I had to bring that cheese in somewhere....) No really- we want you there which is why we invited you- gifts aside!

Directions

This is how to get there- please factor in the travel time- it will be fabulous if the last person to arrive is the bride...

Please be aware of the fact that there are two toll-gates on the road from Jhb/ Pretoria, one for R22 and one at Witbank for R37.

J & B = 'We'

This is who we are and what we look like....These photo's leaked, so count yourself lucky...They'll be in the Heat next month (this is Jonno's personal aspiration- I think we've finally made it... Or maybe its the cover of the Middelburg Observer...same thing...)

"Only friends..."

Day 1: The long spell of singleness is broken...

....the adventures of J & B....

That fateful night....not a cloud, not a breath of wind, and a whole lot of romance....oh and not to forget the most beautiful ring that has ever existed....and best of all- the future that is to come!

Voila....and here we are.... :)

....to be continued...

Dress code

Ok- according to an article I came across, a dress code like "Garden Chic" leaves guests feeling confused and is used by couples trying to be clever. We are clever- so that would never be my motivation in guiding you towards what you should be wearing to our wedding...It's actually quite simple:

1) Garden: this alludes to the fact that the wedding will be taking place in a garden.

  1. If you have a severe phobia of late afternoon sunlight, you should take a note here: bring your sunglasses or add an extra layer of sunscreen.
  2. If your preferred choice of footwear is a sexy stilhetto, you may want to consider laying that one down for a day and opt for some wedges instead. (Unless of course you want to assist the gardeners by digging up the lawn a bit with your heels...)
  3. You might want to bring along a thin jersey or a pashmina to keep you warm as the evening sets in and it cools down (If you're going to dance up a sweat you obviously dont need this tip...)
2) Chic- according to the Oxford dictionary:
  • adjective (chicer, chicest) elegantly and stylishly fashionable.
  • noun stylishness and elegance.
Use it, don't use...I just see a whole lot of elegance and sophistication....and please- stay true to yourself because that's who we invited! :)

Accomodation

If you're one of the Durbanites, a Joburgian- or just a socialite, you might want to consider accomodation closer to the venue for Saturday night.
Keep in mind that these options are in Middelburg itself, which is approx. 30 minutes from the venue...

2) Topiary

3) Del Roza

5) Tadimani

You can always take it from there the next morning and max out on the long weekend by heading out towards the lovely Dullstroom and Graskop area.
My work, however, is done...Google can assist you on your journey from here onwards... :)
